Mattress Construction
A mattress is a significant investment- one which you’ll be spending about a third of your day on. That being said, it pays to understand what goes in it. The reason the quality of your mattress plays such a big role is straightforward. The choice of materials in a mattress has a great effect on its durability and whether it’s good for providing back support or relieving pressure. What makes this Siena memory foam mattress stand out from the pack? Let’s take a look at its construction from the bottom up.
Height and size - The Siena is 10 inches high. Previously, we’ve found that up to 275 pounds individuals can sleep on this mattress comfortably throughout the expected lifespan of the bed. The Siena can be bought in any standard size from Twin to Cal King.
Cover - The top layer of this mattress is encased in a poly-blend cover. This artificial fabric is made up of both polyester and natural fibers, which makes it softer on the skin than other fabrics such as cotton or linen. Poly-brands are also popular in high fashion because they are light weight and breathable. The mattress’s cover does a great job at hugging your body for an even better feel. It is not removable, though, which means that it has to be protected with sheets if you want to avoid stains.
Comfort section - Siena’s comfort system starts with a 2.5" layer of gel foam and the rest is like other memory foam products, just infused with even more perks. Memory foam and gel-infused memory foam are more similar than they are different when it comes to their performance, so you can be confident that we’ve got your best interests in mind while designing. However, the sleeping surface of gel memory foam is comparably cooler than traditional memory foam, a beneficial feature if you tend to sleep hot.
Transition section - after the comfort layer, you get to a 2.0" transition layer made up of high-density foam. This second layer enables the first much more effective by providing enough “cradle” to reduce pressure and adding support. Second, the transition layer is somewhat firmer than the comfort system below, so it creates a gap between you and the support core. This can prevent your body from sinking too far such that you come into contact with the base layer.
Base support - The Siena’s core layer is made of high-density poly foam. This layer was created to keep your entire mattress supported. The base layer is also responsible for numerous other aspects of the mattress’s performance. For example, it helps with edge support, temperature neutrality and durability.

Sleeping Positions
Side sleeping - for people who sleep on their side, the Siena mattress is an attractive option. The memory foam layer is soft but also offers pressure relief at high-impact areas, such as hips and shoulders.
Back sleeping - if you’re looking for a good support, the Siena Memory Foam mattress could be just what you need. Its perfect balance of comfort and quality gives great support to back sleepers weighing 250lbs or more. A good mattress is something that many people consider crucial. But how can you tell if a mattress is the right one for you? One of the most important things to know is whether or not it gives proper abdominal support. This cushions can be found in your lower back area, its called The “Lumbar,” and it provides proper alignment of your spine during sleep.
Stomach sleeping - If you’re a stomach sleeper up to 230 lbs, the Siena Memory Foam Mattress could be a good fit for you. If you prefer softer mattresses, we recommend testing this mattress out with their 180 nights trial.
Firmness Review
The mixed-foam construction of the Siena makes it a medium-firm mattress in the regions of 6.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale. In the world of all-foam mattresses, medium-firm beds are popular because they offer support without compromise for many sleepers. The Siena is our medium-firm option and provides significant contouring along with excellent back support. However, the specific level of firmness that feels best will depend on your weight, body shape and personal preferences. “Firmer” is usually the preference of people who are heavier. On the other hand, lighter people often go for a softer mattress.
Compared to other three-layer, all-foam mattress, the Siena is one of the most affordable because of its high quality for a really good price. Yet, while it’s not as popular yet, the level of comfort and support that this mattress pack provides is super impressive.
Overall
The Siena is a great bed, especially for first-time memory foam buyers who are unsure of what to expect. It’s also a good purchase if you’re looking for something that isn’t too expensive. Despite its low price tag, the Siena is a great mattress for multiple sleepers because it balances nicely conforming memory foam with supportive poly foams.
